Ben: Gordon is a very careful musicologist, recently retired from Acadia University, and you can trust his transcriptions. He sometimes monitors this list, but I don't know if he is on at present.
In fact the Scolar Press facsimile shows exactly the rhythm that appears in the transcription in that section of the piece. (I did not check the whole thing.) The only obvious difference is that in the original the "measures" are of variable length, while in the transcription they are regularized to 4/2.
