If memory serves he also explains that you should disassemble your lute just for fun, to see
how easy that is if the lute is well built. Very good proposal, I even had had some parts
left over when I had
rebuild my lute after some years...

You couldn't get better encouragement than from Mace. He tells how
'easy' the Baroque lute is compared to those of the past.
