The introduction to the Lute Society's facsimile edition of Matthew Holmes acknowledges the assistance of Rainer aus dem Spring and his explanation of the title of piece #256, "Chow Bente"; however, that explanation does not seem to appear in the edition. What is it (sounds Italian)?
