Hi Nigel, A few years ago I built an 11course lute (with minor modifications) to the plans from the lute society.
I used the plans and followed the procedures outlined in David Van Edwards excellent CD course for building a 14 course Lute. The 11c plan is very easy to work from but being the amateur that I am David Van Edwards course is what made it possible. If you have any other questions email me.
