Perhaps this should be on the vihuela list but...
   An attractive little piece from the 1820s for Russian guitar. It's an
   aria from an opera and Alexander Batov has kindly suggested it might be
   "from a comic opera by Nicolas Isouard "Joconde ou Les coureurs
   d'aventures" (1814), which was staged in St-Petersburg in January
   1815."
   Joconde here seems to mean 'rake' rather than Mona Lisa and a costumed
   'Joconde' appears briefly in the video. On the other hand, the minor
   key section sounds very 'Russian' and not so opera-comique. Anyway
   there's a lot of nice music for this instrument that is not too
   difficult (as well as some very challenging music indeed).
