Ed,

I know of no sonata specifically for lute in tablature by Corelli, but he (or his publisher) calls for archlute or theorbo as a continuo or obbligato instrument frequently.

See: http://applications.library.appstate.edu/music/lute/continuo.html

There, you can hit "CTRL + F" and type "corelli" [I hope to have a better search function for this page eventually.]

There are over 30 examples (with many reprints) where plucked strings are specifically mentioned as a possibility in Corelli's works . . .

4• ^ Replying in 1679 to a request by Count Fabrizio Laderchi from
Faenza for Corelli to compose a sonata for violin and lute, the composer
acknowledges that hitherto his Sinfonie have been written merely to exalt the
violin.
