Dear Lutenists,

   I would like to inform you of the course that Paul O'Dette will be
   teaching at the Academia Internacional de Musica Antigua
   ([1]www.aimantigua.com) in Burgos, Spain this summer between july 8 and
   13.

   Besides the solo repertoire one of the main goals of the course will be
   to prepare, rehearse and perform the semi-opera "The Indian Queen" and
   the opera "Dido and Aeneas" both by Henry Purcell. The stage
   performance will take place on july 19^th at Burgos main theatre:

   Other disciplines and teachers at AIMAntigua 2014 are:

   .         Singing and vocal coaching: Alicia Amo, Jose Hernandez Pastor
   and David Mason. And Alex Ashworth just for the cast.

   .         Recorder and traverse flute: Guillermo Penalver

   .         Baroque Violin and Viola: Enrico Gatti

   .         Baroque Cello and gamba viol: Jaap Ter Linden

   .         Baroque Oboe: Josep Domenech

   .         Historic dance: Diana Campoo

   .         Plucked instruments: Paul O'Dette

   .         Chamber music and continuo: Manuel Minguillon

   .         Choral singing: Daniel De la Puente and Alex Ashworth (Vocal
   Coach)

   The registration for the course is already open until june 6.


   The interaction amongst all our students is the motto of our course,
   and for that purpose, Manuel Minguillon will be leading the chamber
   music section and Sergio Franco, will lead the baroque orchestra.

   One of the world specialists in Baroque gesture, Dionysios Kyropoulos,
   will be stage director for the operas assisted by Carlos Martin. Victor
   Baena will be playing the harpsichord for the singers and will be our
   Maestro Repetiteur.


   Additional activities such as yoga, Tai-chi and a Baroque gesture
   seminar will be completing the course programmes.
