I'll just give you an update on the situation. Seems like I had really bad luck yesterday, I guess being sick+stressed wasn't really good for clear thinking. I guess that's why every single string I used snapped, most of these strings were 0.50+, including the frets. I've taken off one of the D4 strings and it's fine, I already ordered new strings. So I pretty much combined all of the tips you gave me :-P Thank again for the help and have a merry Christmas!
