Hi, Miles & Rainer,

Using C as the root gives you the standard accidentals C# / Eb / F# / G# / Bb.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe that using G as the root will give you D#
instead of Eb. (As I remember the OT-120 has a different way to get a D# in
1/4-comma meantone: in the temperament choices you can select 'meantone b' or
'meantone #,' or something like that.)

If I’m right, I don't think you'd often want to use D as the root - you'd then
have A# and have no flats at all. Though for a theorbo in A you could still
set your first fret using C (3rd course) or F (2nd course).

I use an android phone now, but I still often carry a second broken/old iphone
because I love Hank Heijink's "Ipegs" app so much, which has many great
features including letting you choose each accidental individually.

Does anyone know why "Ipegs" isn't available anymore?

Cheers,

Lucas Harris

For a theorbo (in A) maybe D? What do the ‘continuo’ professionals use?

Best wishes
