That's a server from 2009, it takes Xeon 5500/5600 CPUs which only support 
DDR3-1333 RAM when there's DDR3-2133 on the market for newer systems.  The 
CPUBenchmark.net single thread list has an X5690 scoring 1490 while other CPUs 
on the list score as high as 2171.

For high end CPUs the X5679 scores 10,183 compared to the best being 15599.  
But the price is listed as "NA" and I'm not sure if HP even offers it.

HP has a G8 on sale now, so it seems that the G6 is really outdated.  I doubt 
that the OP's desire for good performance would be met by a G6 server.
