Let me ask you a question, Bob. Do you agree that we want LUV to be
welcoming to Linux users regardless of their (irrelevant to our
interests) sexual orientation? If so, why should we condone the use of
language which will make some people uncomfortable or worse?

As a passionate advocate for free speech, let me point out that nobody
has suggested that the government is trying to censor our mailing list.
On the other hand, we do have rules and moderation for a reason - to
maintain a welcoming tone of discussion. Enforcing that does not
infringe on anyone's right to free speech, as they are welcome to take
rudeness and worse to their own mailing lists and websites.

People who haven't accepted social changes are tired of getting called
on their now inappropriate language. Unfortunately they'll have to deal
with it.

        Andrew
