Yes.. In the past, I always had the view that Epson was good with Linux.
 BUT I too have had a bad experience with an Epson printer recently.  I
could get it to work partially with a driver for a different printer,
but it has a few issues with margins for example, and also reporting ink
volume.   So Epson's are not as good as they have been before.
