I am really puzzled by the different installers now available for GIMP.
GIMP itself is offering the Flatpack install, Ubuntu seems to favour a
Snap install. (I am running Ubuntu 20.04LTS) I have tried to install a
Python plugin to GIMP to export multiple layers as a batch. Instructions

I found the Plugins folder in snap/gimp/347/.config/GIMP/2,10/plugins I
copied the Folder export_layers and the file exportlayers.py into the
plugins folder. Then I started GIMP but I found no options export
multiple layers.
Obviously a gap in my understanding, would appreciate any help.
