I am running Debian, and do everything through apt-get and it works. I use the imagemagic package for batch processing, I wanted to resize a directory full of photos, I have a lot from a phone, and more from a Pentax K7, and wanted to post where there were size limits. The imagemagic tools and a shell script worked a treat. Cannonical do some very good work with Ubuntu, but I have a preference for the Debian original, except for the adoption of systemd. I have run Ubuntu in the past, but the upgrade path was a killer on dial up, especially as you could not skip a release. > https://khalim19.github.io/gimp-plugin-export-layers/sections/Installation.html#linux > > I found the Plugins folder in snap/gimp/347/.config/GIMP/2,10/plugins I > copied the Folder export_layers and the file exportlayers.py into the > plugins folder.
