I use this, but not how I used to use it:

This from March 14, 2019:

ess/

Also, this from October 22, 2018:
https://www.xda-developers.com/gboard-clipboard-manager/

Hmm, I use Gboard, didn't realize it was involved with saving my
clipboard at all; it remembered something I did the other day, just
copy text to paste in to a Signal message! Still there, I hadn't
turned on the "Clipboard feature" though, but it was at least active
for the last copy and paste! I dare not turn on the full clipboard
feature of it.

It's bad enough using Android, the trust levels are painful, but when
apps could (at least previously), watch all your copy and pastes using
the clipboard and now even Gboard has it's own "snooping" built-in....
it makes you wonder; I didn't expect the keyboard to be perfect for
privacy (being a Google asset), but I also didn't realize it had
built-in clipboard management.

What keyboard are others using? I know I tried out a privacy focused
keyboard some time ago, but part of the deal was that the keyboard had
letters in random places, which is annoying to use and that keyboard
is not to be found today for some reason?! I think it was this:
  PEK: Privacy Enhanced Keyboard
  - it seems to be an option for keyboard on my OP5, but it's very old
and was apparently made for an older Android version; it must be
a hidden system app as it is not listed in my Play store library.
  - it does look different to what I remember on older devices, so
it might not be the same, but the concept is the same.

I used Swiftkey before it become owned by Microsoft at which time I
immediately stopped using it.

Uggh, glad I decided to stop using Swiftkey when I did too:

tmare/

For anything serious, I use a proper keyboard on a "real" computer and
not the mobile. I do use Signal, as mentioned above, but rarely is
anything sensitive and there is always risk of Android itself having
too much built in by design spyware involved in the deal.

It is beyond me to understand why the COVID-19 QR code system thing is
necessary as the mobile phone network itself is always tracking every
mobile and they can get precise information about anybody's movements.

Generally, I tend to not trust mobile devices as they are often the
weakest link in security, even with privacy focused apps, and I
haven't ever been comfortable with the continual high level of privacy
leakage that is built-in to Android itself, especially when coupled
with stock standard ROMs.

Kind Regards
AndrewM
