As LUV is a LA subcommittee it doesn't provide much benefit to have a LUV list server running separately from the LA list server.
The LUV list server is essentially unmaintained. I run the LUV VM and keep all the software up to date with security fixes etc but have no interest in doing Mailman stuff. It wouldn't be particularly difficult to get the LA server running lists for LUV as there are really only 3 lists in use.
