Hi Bob, Sorry I don't have any good ideas, but have you looked at what's happening on the server end? Maybe the mail server is falling over after a long period of inactivity? But then, that doesn't fit with the behaviour that your client can connect after a reboot. Maybe it's an intermittent failure and just more likely to happen over a longer period, like overnight? And, as you say, it might be local-network connection timing problem. I hope you can sort it out.
