Replying to my own post.... The workaround of sleep 10 in S70buildmnttab.sh may work in pre Solaris 10 but that file does not exist in Solaris 10 because of SMF. I may look at putting a similar workaround in /lib/svc/method/fs-minimal for our Solaris 10 installs.
