Today I finally got back to work on the V240 which repeatedly lost its mddb's Tom's suggestion of putting only one mddb on each disk worked well ! This server had disks : 2 of: Fujitsu_MAT3147N and 2 of: Fujitsu_MAT3073N installed. I think we can say with some certanity that they do trigger a variant of BUG 6244431
