I know its *called* a 'mini' HOWTO but it really is extremely large and verbose, not really step-by-step like a traditional howto. Perhaps it might pay to have a single page with just this most common example and its associated config files? A lot of the 'mini' HOWTO is not relevent to a lot of people; how to patch and compile the kernel for example for kernels going back to 2.2, ipchains as well as iptables.
