Hi again, Thanks for Jim's response. However Im realy not sure if I should use the newest 1.2.0 release cause of the notice on savannah.nongnu
"Note this release went without any release candidate cycles, so beware, test well, and report back any bugs." Could the persons providing the latest patches give some advice? Is it the best approach to have 1.2.0 and applying all newest patches? Whats about the patches before the date 1.2.0 was released, do I have to use them as well? Sorry for newbie questions Kind regards Hans-Joerg -----Ursprüngliche Nachricht----- Von: [EMAIL PROTECTED] im Auftrag von Pettinato, Jim Gesendet: Fr 23.03.2007 16:57 An: Mailing list for lwIP users Betreff: RE: [lwip-users] What lwIP version recommended (most stable) Wagner, The most recent release is 1.2.0. Typically https://savannah.nongnu.org/news/?group=lwip <https://savannah.nongnu.org/news/?group=lwip> is updated when a release is issued. For more detailed information regarding releases and stability of such, you can also review the archives of these mailing lists: http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/lwip-users/ <http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/lwip-users/> Note that there have been some API changes so there may be some modifications to your port required to get things working with your existing code base. Again, you can search the archives for specifics regarding these changes. Primarily you'll probably have to make tweaks to your lwIP initialization code and some simple mods to your SLIP driver. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Wagner Hans-Jörg Sent: Friday, March 23, 2007 10:46 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [lwip-users] What lwIP version recommended (most stable) Hi As I now have my SLIP lwip implementation running, the next steps will be to have it running with PPP. But the lwIP source I used for a single threaded SLIP was provided to me from another very kind person which used it two or more years ago. I think its better now to upgrade, but to what version? Kind regards Hans-Joerg
