the manual fix i found were: cd /usr/share/pixmaps/ sudo cp firefox-3.0.png firefox3.png cd /usr/share/applications sudo cp firefox.desktop firefox3.desktop sudo mousepad firefox3.desktop echo - or sudo gedit firefox3.desktop , or nano, or any wished txt editor...
and replace the Icon=firefox-3.0 to Icon=firefox3 and so, the file used in the lxpanel would be firefox3.desktop instead - using this method on using a copied .desktop instead of using the original .desktop directly can avoid destroying this process in the next ubuntu update (it happened to me once, as you all can imagine...) all this worked on me since i don't know all about the firefox licence on how do this kind of patch would affect it my another suggestion would be lxpanel having some kind of .desktop editor (or fixer) which help us to fix these things without having to go to the terminal, or browse and copy these files as super-user... cheers! =) On 5/1/09, Cilyan Olowen <[email protected]> wrote: > This is working fine here under ArchLinux.
