viewnior is indeed a good program (I recently packaged it for Fedora) and could become the default image viewer of LXDE. I like the clean interface. It follows GNOME's HIG and fits well to the rest of the LXDE desktop. gpicview on the other hand looks more like a rip-off of the image viewer of Windows XP/Vista. But before viewnior can replace gpicview it must be feature compatible. Currently gpicview has a lot of features that viewnior lacks, most notably lossless rotation of images, support for animated GIFs. basic EXIF support etc. Maybe we can join the viewnior development to speed it up? Has anybody contacted the vievnior developer and asked for his plans? Regards, Christoph P.S.: One potential potential problem with viewnior: It supports setting the wallpaper in GNOME. So if a distro builds viewnior with GNOME support, we have a GConf dependency in LXDE. :( ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Let Crystal Reports handle the reporting - Free Crystal Reports 2008 30-Day trial.
