i wonder if we can work together to fix that problem, here recent gnome-keyring update "FIXED" the issue, but looks to work ONLY with gdm (i didn't test with kdm/xdm)... and as i wrote works perfectly even with lxde. There must be something wrong into lxdm that for some reason is not able to succesfully talk with pam/keyring that is not unlocked...
on suse 11.3 it's a "must have fixed" IMHO, we use nm-applet and actually this is a big usability issue.
