Actually, another good way is to clone our git repo and make your local copy, and then do your changes there. Later, push your local repo to another online repo, such as the ones provided by github. Then, we can test your code, and if it works, we can pull your changes from your repo to ours. Once we're sure that you can write good code without breaking others' code, you can get the write access to our repo.
