The content of the .ui file _is_ the same as of the .glade file (just
whitespaces removed). The same content cannot be deprecated and not
deprecated at the same time.

Ok, I've got the point. You removed .glade files just because suffix
.glade was "deprecated". Although the right solution in that case was
to remove generated .ui files and than rename .glade to .ui. Those
files are GtkBuilder XML UI description (and I do not think it is
deprecated), no matter what suffix they have. Well, ok... I'll re-save
it with Glade tool to get back formatting.
