Just to be clear, the project is halted to some degree, but it's not dead.
Martin just got the root access to our own server last week and he'll
finish the remaining setup when he has the time to do it.
I'm fixing some translation issues recently.
Today I have one day off finally and I read some docs about systemd to see
how to use it to manage the desktop session, but it seems to be more
complicated than I think and it's poorly-documented. Many new config files
need to be written from scratch. So, I still think that it's better to
handle these tasks with our own session manager ATM.
FYI:

We have a new contributor Francisco Ballina who is working on
lxqt-config-monitor, a good monitor config tool to replace lxrandr. At the
same time, he is working on a plain qt version of network-manager-applet.

Though moving slowly, we indeed had some progress.
There are some other feature requests and bugs, but the next thing I want
to work on might be lxsession.
Cheers!
