Hi Andrej,
It is true there has not been much activity on the sourceforge page and I
have only seen intermittent communication on this list. Yao Wei and I
chatted briefly about a patch not too long ago.
SV99 has done some updating of the project on github:

The last commit I see from him is from March, which is much more recent
than the sourceforge project. His version has some nice features (like
remap-able hotkeys) that aren't included in the sourceforge project. If you
are looking for a new version to use, I'd recommend his. Some of those bugs
may not occur in his version, we'd need to do more testing to be sure. It's
a bit confusing to have a version on sourceforge and a version on github.
Frankly, I wouldn't mind seeing the sourceforge project go away, and move
someplace else. That being said, I've not historically been an lxterminal
developer and there may be better, willing candidates to maintain this
project.
