I failed to compile MoonlightDE initially. Later, we're busy pushing lxqt 0.8 so I haven't give it another try. Sorry for that but I don't have time for coding before December. Thanks to other developers, we finally have 0.8 released. > So, is it all that good? What can LXQt gain whit this? The modular approach is always intesting, but it's better to do this when components are stable enough. Otherwise a crash in one component can crash the whole DE. BTW, the lib cppmicroservice it uses is licensed under Apache, which is GPL incompatible. I'm not sure if this is OK. Some experts on licensing issues are wanted. > Also, Alexis Zubieta mentioned it would be open for a merge between > MoonlightDE and LXQt... from what i do understand about this, and if the > modular approach is really a good thing, then i believe it would be great to > have more developers on LXQt. Maybe Alexis can answer your questions.
