Hello:
I would like to start by answering to Jhon:
The modular approach will make LxQt to lose some of the pounds that it
gain when was ported "Qt" and also will allow a better interoperability
between components. The other alternatives proposed will only improve
start-up time but not the memory consumption.

About libCppMicroServices, yes it's Apache licenced but as we only use
it as module our product it's not considered as a derived work so it
wont affect LxQt or MoonLightDE licence (also I have to say that I'm not
an expert in the topic).

About the collaboration between the two projects, I'm still agreed with it!
In fact now MoonLightDE has support from the University of Informatics
Sciences in Cuba as a Research and Development project so we will not
only making a DE but also making research in the areas of user
experience, application integration and system performance. These means
that we will be working on it eight ours a day and five days a week
(more or less) and we will be able to give user support and amend bugs
"quickly".

Also I would like to say that we have made some progress in porting
lxqt-panel and it's modules, lxqt-notifications and the PCmanFile
manager to a modular approach. In fact this Friday we have plans to
release MoonLightDE 0.7. So you are invited to test it.

Best
