I checked that file and it had this:
[Added Associations]
application/x-partial-download=org.kde.kwrite.desktop;
x-scheme-handler/http=firefox.desktop;
x-scheme-handler/https=firefox.desktop;
x-scheme-handler/ftp=firefox.desktop;
x-scheme-handler/chrome=firefox.desktop;
text/html=firefox.desktop;
application/x-extension-htm=firefox.desktop;
application/x-extension-html=firefox.desktop;
application/x-extension-shtml=firefox.desktop;
application/xhtml+xml=firefox.desktop;
application/x-extension-xhtml=firefox.desktop;
application/x-extension-xht=firefox.desktop;
[Default Applications]
x-scheme-handler/http=firefox.desktop
x-scheme-handler/https=firefox.desktop
x-scheme-handler/ftp=firefox.desktop
x-scheme-handler/chrome=firefox.desktop
text/html=firefox.desktop
application/x-extension-htm=firefox.desktop
application/x-extension-html=firefox.desktop
application/x-extension-shtml=firefox.desktop
application/xhtml+xml=firefox.desktop
application/x-extension-xhtml=firefox.desktop
application/x-extension-xht=firefox.desktop
mimeapps.list (END)
So first I thought, well I can just delete the file, since chrome isn't
using it...
Didn't work, chrome UI wouldn't stick when setting to default.
I think did a global change, all occurances of firefox to
google-chrome-unstable;
didn't make a difference. I even logged off and back on...
You'd think there would be a way to fix this without trying to just
re-initialize my LXQt
desktop.
Thanks again for your help. Lesson learned... don't install Firefox...
LOL...
