I'm new on this list. I subscribed here because I cannot register to the
forums. I didn't receive the confirmation mail. :(
I choosed the LXDE and the PCManFm because I read in the features list that
this filemanager has an optional exif support. I want to see the pictures
creation time in the tooltip or on the statusbar or on whatever. I didn't found
any exif information in this FM.
I decided I try to write a plugin what shows the exif creation date in the
status bar if i select an image file. My first step was to read this page

I create the example "tab-page-symlink.c" file and compiled it according to the
howto. I copied the tab-page-symlink.so file to the
/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/pcmanfm directory (I use amd64 Debian 8.5 stable with
lxde desktop.) I restarted the whole system. I login again and I expected that
happened nothing. The pulgin did not work. I wrote my own plugin, compiled it,
copied it but the result is the same. The plugin did not work.
What did I wrong? How can I write a working plugin for pcmanfm?
