imho, sticking to original swallow bird logo is better idea.
Recognizable, and it is unique to LXDE (looks like Apple Swift logo but
nvm). XFCE logo is mice, GNOME is footprint.. etc. all known and unique
to popular DEs. tbh I dont like those logos too but at least they are
unique.

I am not a designer but maybe instead of changing whole logo maybe color
and new attractive design might add some eye catch.

it could always be improved - i just wanted to address the original concern,

frankly, i never liked that logo - i saw on the forum that over the years,
people have suggested and even offered to make a new logo design - i think that
is the best idea
