If, when you try to start lynx, you see this message, and then lynx
dies, you are probably using the lynx included with one of the linux
distributions that set lynx's default temp file location to '~/tmp',
and that directory doesn't exist. Solutions: Create the directory
'tmp' in your home directory, or point lynx to a suitable existing
directory (such as '/tmp') with suitable permissions by setting an
environmental variable (LYNX_TEMP_SPACE or TMPDIR), or compile the
latest and greatest version of lynx for yourself.
