i just logged in to the general UoT ISP facility, then telnetted to CHASS,
whence i successfully used `d' & the  lynx.cfg  `download via Kermit' line
to download a WWW document directly to my PC's hard disk;
i avoided going thro' Screen, which doesn't like Kermit.

in my quite entensive experience, Kermit is top-class software.
