which reminds me.  FEATURE-WISH:  could the EXTERNAL configuration item be
combined with a DOWNLOADER or PRINTER so that external mailers could get
this precious "Do you wish to include the original message? (y/n)" prompt?

my setup to use mutt as an external command just gives the recipient
address to this MUA, but not the text of the page!  so now i must first
save it to a file which i later reload into the editor.  this is definitely
more scripting than is needed given lynx facilities.
