Yes, except that the language uses a kind of Perl syntax for some
things:

Variables are tagged with '$'s.  That's foobar, but I'm going
through fire just to please a few people.

Btw, does anybody know how to get the browser-type in PHP?

I searched in vain on their online annotated documentation.
