Rich: This is *very* difficult to do. See the attatched thesis.cls
file for hints. In fact, I'll send the entire CU-Thesis package to
you via private email. Look at the docs (there's a LyX version) for
it, then try using it as the class for your tome. See if it produces
what you need. If not, look in the file thesis.cls, which I
documented very carefully as to how it works. See if tweaking the
options in there help you any.
