Hi everybody,
Whilst working on the FAQ, it became painfully obvious that a few tiny
changes would be desirable. I list them here for your consideration:
1) Add \clearpage as an option to the Pagebreaks item in
Layout->Paragraph. This seems to be the #1 true FAQ from the mailing list
archives.
2) Move Insert->Floats above Insert->Figure and Insert->Table. One should
(almost) always insert a float before a figure or table.
3) Change the name of Insert->Figure to Insert->Graphic or
Insert->Picture. "Figure" implies a figure number and caption, while our
current "figure" is merely an EPS file.
4) Change the name of Insert->Table to something else (I don't have a
clever name yet as "Tabular" is silly to anyone who isn't a LaTeX user).
Same argument as #3.
5) Add "Frequently Asked Questions" and "Master Table of Contents" entries
to the Help menu. I hope to provide both of these shortly. The filenames
should be FAQ.lyx and TOC.lyx.
6) Add "pslatex" as an option for Layout->Document Fonts. It provides a
complete mechanism to change the fonts to their PostScript equivalents,
including the math fonts, and it's included with teTeX and probably many
other distributions. That way I can stop putting it in the preamble by
hand in every document :-)
That's all for now. I have some bigger requests (still interested in
\citep and \citet), but these should generate enough flamage for now ...
