Great, thanks for testing!
Marc, Iwami, Hide, Cghan, do you think CJK support in LyX is OK now
for your respective language? If not, what is missing for proper CJK
support?
The input method seems to be working as expected. Strange is only that
during typing, the text is floating on top of the existing text instead
of being inserted, only when confirming the text, it is inserted in the
document. But this is a small issue which is not so important.
I think it is modelled on how it's done on notepad under Windows.
Another
issue is that (as far as I know) you need to enclose cjk text with
\begin{CJK}{UTF8}{ipam} and \end{CJK} each time when writing Japanese in
an English document. More practically would be a setting for a cjk font,
and a cjk mode or even auto-recognition of cjk characters.
Auto-recognition would be easy (and I think we should do the same for
RTL languages but that is another story).
I guess we just have to enclose any word (even single character?) with
the cited \begin{CJK}{UTF8}{ipam} and \end{CJK} when doing the latex
export. Is that what you are working on Georg?
I only tested Japanese, though if you want I can test the Korean input
later today if no one tested it yet.
Yes please. No news from CGhan yet. Another thing to do is to merge the
CJK translations from the CJK-LyX port.
All in all 1.5.0 is very good for cjk now :)
That's good news :-)
