If you look at the message's source (View -> message source, or Ctrl-U, in Thunderbird, for example) you'll see that one of the last headers reads:

"Archived-At: <http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.editors.lyx.devel/85300>"

When using the wiki, you can also use a shortcut based on the number in the link above (85300). So if you for instance write:

        LyXDevelThread:85300

that will become a link to the thread of that post. Alternatively, you can use

        LyXDevelThreadRoot:85300

to link to the top of the thread.
