This is not a helpful entry. I'm an experienced LyXer but I still don't
understand what the name "pixmap" is for and what "subpixel hinting" is.
I need a more simple explanation for the UserGuide.
While googling I only found that this cache is used for icons and
bitmaps that are rendered from SVG-images in KDE 4.
So we only use it for fonts? Then we shouldn't name it "pixmap" but
better "screen font cache".
Opinions?
Just call it "Text drawing cache". The cache enables to reuse words of
text that have been rendered previously.
