Improve abstract rendering under XHTML.
thanks for care.
btw just finished one report which needed to be converted to word,
so gave a testing to our new html export. for web sharing its already
in a very good shape, congratz! :)
if it comes to conversion lyx->word via html we are still far from holy grail,
moreover the problems do not look as easyfixes (i mean this more as a report
for curious, not a bug report...)
- i really enjoyd preview-inset based rendering of equations, but there will be
quite problem to make "display"-type equations correct - they have never
correct noumbering, their label is rendered, crossreferencing wrong...
I need to work on the MathML output here, even. Labels don't work yet,
and the numbers there are also wrong. I think you are right that making
it work with image output is difficult, though perhaps we could somehow
force \theequation to a certain value? Something like that.
- bibtex output works, but only if you do not select some specific style of
citations - this won't be easy to get right either. referencing is just
perfect.
The format of references is configurable, but not (yet) via selection of
a BibTeX style. The format of the citations in the text is controlled by
InsetCitation: You get in the text what you would get in LyX itself.
I think all of this will be fixable in 2.1. We need, for biblatex
purposes, to re-work the citation and bibliography classes so that less
stuff is hardcoded.
- generally floats do not have corret numbering.
Can you give me examples there? That should have been OK.
- if one does not write in in english its possible to create your own localised
versions of abstract/references/chapters etc via latex ERTs, i have however
no idea how to make it make it accessible for html output.
So "Chapter 1" is supposed to be output as "Kapitel 1" if the document
language is German. We're just using what LyX already knows about i18n.
The same should go elsewhere. I just fixed "References". The problem is
that I was trying to translate it to the GUI language instead of the
document language. If there are other cases, let me know.
