"Find Next" seems not such a big issue here. 
When I do it it says "String not found!" - at least when using it twice.

"Ignore" is more difficult. It tries to add the word with apostrophe 
but the speller (perhaps) silently strips that apostrophe and LyX thinks it
can start over with checking at that position and the speller marks it again
as error.

As JMarc said we should try to strip the apostrophes ourself somehow.
I'll think about it and propose a patch later.
