If the error is really caused by qt I would use one from a similar era. qt 4.6 came out in 2009, so that means gcc 4.6. However, the error could also be caused by the combination of the new std::string implementation (introduced in gcc 5.1) and qt, if that is the case then gcc 4.9 should work as well. Georg
