Sorry for being late in the game - I followed the discussion closely and
tried to make my mind on this. I patched LyX, installed the Python module
plus pygmentize executable and tried to typeset the minted-listings example.

I had difficulties to understand the different options. Why? It worked
on my side only after manually adding -shell-escape to the pdflatex converter.
This I didn’t expect after the discussion.

Did I miss anything? If yes, then it would be good for the next round of voting
to give more precise hints how to test the discussed feature.
