One question is whether the Qt version against which 2.4.3 and 2.4.4
have been built is the same.

Daky, do you get an offer to display some backtrace when it crashes? I
would be interested to see it.
I tested that I could open our Arabic Intro manual, but this is not a
very revealing test IMO.
I took a quick look at the 2.4.3 detailed changes, but nothing looks
suspicious there.
