I can imagine cases where we assume some latex packages for consistency reasons
but constructions like lyx own macros are really completely optional and only
used if needed.

I am attaching a lyx file where I am unable prevent the loading of color and
amstext packages. Screenshot shows how it appears in lyx workspace.
The available custom color lyxboxbgcolor is listed under colors. I do
not have that in a brand new document here. One bug, I think, is that
removing it does not make the definition go away. Indeed, saving and
reloading just makes it reappear. THe other bug is that the definition
should not be given unless the color is used.
It may be that this is what is also triggering amstext.
