(Since I'm being an annoying kibitzer with no real intention to
actually help you guys on this, and you're doing superbly on making
LyX an excellent project without my help, I will probably shut up on
this topic after this post.  If I find time to work on it myself, I
might pipe up again)

..but presumably tidying up the LFUNs is also a low-level medium-term
objective anyhow, so it's not unreasonable to assume that one day
there may be enough LFUNs for useful scriptability.
