I think that there are a lot of small things we could do to improve the output of equations. However, we will never be able to do correct logical grouping of elements like a human would do. Andre's goal (I am sure he will correct me if needed) with this code was to obtain correctness above all, and he deliberately neglected latex code formatting o avoid introducing bugs. It is probably time, now that the math editor rewrite is mostly done, to look at what can be done. What you could do to help would be to look at equations and suggest how they could have been written better. JMarc
